They lie a lot about when they can come. The first crew made a mess: the windows weren't installed properly and had no parallel lines. There was caulk everywhere. It took the quality person a month to come look, and then 2 months for the new widows to be installed correctly and the caulk cleaned up. Window World did not discount my work for this 3 month inconvenience. Everyone I spoke with except Mary was very argumentative and did not want to fix any issues. Do not recommend. Response to your response: You must be talking about some other house. Mine wasn't built in the 20's. Seems unlikely that any on my block were. And the challenges you encountered: the caulk everywhere and crooked windows were due to your incompetent installers that came out first or maybe bad construction on the windows themselves. My house clearly did not change, and the second installer did not encounter challenges due to the age of my house.

I honestly don't know if I would recommend Window World or not. Pros: Price, and customer service. Every person I worked with was great, from sales, to receptionists, to installers, to technicians. Cons: Quality control. 1. One of the windows they installed had several large cracks in the glass. It was easier for them to install it and order a new one to swap out later. We waited several months but they did replace it. 2. The hardware on the patio door was partially missing from the order and some of it was the wrong color. They did order replacements and came out to install. 3. The clip system on our screens is really, really cheap. It's very hard to get the screens perfectly clipped in. Even the tech had trouble. He ended up using a Dremel to open up the slits to make the install possible. This should not have been necessary. Poor design, cheap construction. 4. One of our screen frames arrived warped. It could be installed but it didn't sit flush on the window. I took it into the shop and they said they would order a new one. A tech came a couple months later with a replacement but I'm almost positive it was the same one. Still warped, still doesn't sit flush. This wasn't a problem with any of our other screens so I know it's just poor craftsmanship on this one. I completely acknowledge we're not talking about a major problem here, but it's another example of poor quality control. 5. Finally, one of our picture windows had a manufacturer's defect in the glass. There were what appeared to be air bubbles in the glass itself. I showed the tech when he was out trying to fix the screens, and he was very kind and said we would have to order a new one. It was under warranty and it would be ready in a few months. He did say there was going to be a $75 service fee, which is very confusing to me. Everything I've been dealing with is a manufacturer defect, not a warranty claim that is our fault. Why would we pay an extra service fee to have windows installed without manufacturer defects? Like I said, every person has been great to work with. Very kind, very accommodating. But it's hard to know whether to recommend spending tens of thousands of dollars on a product if the quality is so inconsistent. I don't have a ton of confidence that the windows will stand the test of time if manufacturer standards are this low.

Worst customer service. Horrible communication, horrible follow through. We had all new windows and doors installed. It took them over 3 months even though they said 1-2 weeks. Windows are great quality, we love the doors. Well built product but the customer service completely ruined this company’s image. I was constantly hounding them to fix the issues they created, damaged or messed up, it was countless weeks with no communication. I felt like they just didn’t care. It was weeks before we would not hear anything and I’d have to call to find when they're coming back. Horrible flexibility. They still haven’t even completed the job. The finish job was ok. They fixed everything that was wrong but again it was a chore for them to come back out and fix everything. Pretty much we paid in full and they disappeared. I don’t get why we’re getting this type of treatment or how this company continues to survive with this mindset that the quality of service is ok. I will be calling Window World corporate in the morning and filing a complaint. My GF regrets using this company and the $40,000 she paid this business.

Outstanding service from Day 1. Installation team with Louis was top notch. Excellent process throughout, highly recommend and would absolutely use them again. Wished we done it sooner, love their windows and options. Couldn’t be happier! Trish Johnson
