Questions & Answers

Full detailing services can take between 8 – 10 hours depending on the type, size & condition of your car.

Can Detailing Remove Scratches from the Surface of the Car?

Javier Fletcher | Oct 30, 2021
Humble Crew Detailing and Ceramic Coatings | Oct 30, 2021

First off, scratches typically have several levels. The primary one involves the topmost coating of the patient and the layer below deals with the primer that protects the paint. Now, detailing can only fix those scratches found on the uppermost layer by a good buffing technique. Once you see the level penetrating to the primer or beyond, a new layer of paint or proper repairing will be required for the best results.

How often is Auto Detailing Recommended?

Hope Lees | Oct 30, 2021

Since auto detailing is a thorough cleaning of the car using high-end equipment and techniques, the results last a long time, and only occasional washing can keep your vehicle looking as good as new. However, if you travel in your car daily or go on trips with your car, I would suggest bi-annual detailing to ensure your vehicle looks the best at all times. Regular detailing is also known to increase the age and the value of the car to a large extent.

What Does Car Detailing Include?

Foss Macvicar | Oct 30, 2021

A well-done cleaning of the car, also known as auto detailing, can be majorly divided into two parts – exterior car detailing and interior car detailing. According to the detail centre, you can customize the entire procedure based on your requirements and budgetary restraints. Exterior car detailing includes washing, surface claying, polishing and rubbing, paint sealants, headlights, and taillights. Interior car detailing, however, includes vacuuming, cleaning and brushing, glass cleaning, and perfuming.

How are Car Wash and Detailing Different?

Evelyn Valenti | Oct 30, 2021
Humble Crew Detailing and Ceramic Coatings | Oct 30, 2021

When you’re dealing with a car wash, you are focused on cleaning the exterior of the vehicle and getting rid of all the dirt and grime present there with the help of jet sprays and soapy water. Detailing, on the other hand, involves a lot of effort and precision, and includes both the interior and exterior of the vehicle in equal fervour.

Can you remove every single stain or scratch from my car?

Eileen Sloane | Oct 30, 2021
Humble Crew Detailing and Ceramic Coatings | Oct 30, 2021

Not always. Sometimes it’s no longer safe to polish a car any further without the risk of burning through the paint. The same goes for scrubbing stains on delicate materials.

What does paint correction mean?

David Batey | Oct 30, 2021
Donald Henry | Oct 30, 2021

Paint correction is a term that is now commonly used by both professional car detailers and car cleaning enthusiasts worldwide to describe the process of restoring and rejuvenating the paintwork of a vehicle, mostly through the elimination of surface imperfections, that dull, oxidize, or haze the surface by reflecting light off in various directions, therefore detracting from a true and proper, clean, sharp, reflection.
