This office is completely incompetent. My husband has been three times to the office trying to get a social security number for our newly adopted daughter. Each time they would tell him he needed different forms and make him schedule a new appointment, which is also very difficult to do. After finally completing everything, her card never came in the mail. After finally getting through on the phone, it was found that even though he had completed the application correctly, they left a number off our address when they typed it up. So he was told he would have to make a new appointment and start the process over even though they were the ones who made the error.

Great service very welcoming and warm people I was out in 15 mins It's mentioned on their website call and book appointment make sure you have all documents. If you don't have appointment wait time is long based on day and time. They are super busy and very efficient

You can call them direct or set one up online.
Birth certificate or passport and a state issued id, so your driver's license You'll also need to know your SSN but don't have to bring it with you
Marriage license, passport and completed application
Free just have all required documents
What close for lunch

Get a good lawyer Binder and Binder is the best. From the date that you call Binder and Binder will file for you and Fight for you to get your benefits. It takes a while for you to receive Your 1st check, but Your 1st check would be from the date you 1st file to the date you receive so if it take them 2 years you will get Back pay from the 1st following date we line date which is good because you'll get a very large check very large check Bender and Bender will only take between 15 to 20% For their payment if you are denied they will still fight for you and if you're still denied they will not charge you at all. When I was done with my case I got over $36000. It is worth going to Binder and Binder you can't go wrong with them on your side
YOU NEED TALK TO THEM IN PERSON SO YOU WILL KNOW WHAT PAYMENT 💰 TYPE U NEED TO PAY THEM IN PERSON
No do not just drop it off you need to go in person and bring the original
You will need to have proof of the correct spelling of your name like your driver's license, passport, And birth certificate Don't call because they won't answer and you get hung up on just go to your nearest social security office
Yes you can, but you would have to call the one close to you.
I would suggest that you contact the SSA toll free number. Ask to speak with someone in Kennesaw Office.
They are only allowing you to download and print the social security application from the website and then drop it in the drop box of your closest social security office with your two forms of id.

Yes
Yes, but if you can wait until 65 or 66, you won't leave 25%+/- on their table you will never get back if you choose early retirement. Be smart - don't give this wasteful government your life's hard-earned money...or allow them to take what you left on the table & give it to the less deserving. 🎄
If you have an online account, change or verify the banking information has been changed under Manage Monthly Benefits.
I was told that it is walk in only. No appointments, now.
Please visit the SSA Office for assistance.
Go to the local SSA Office.
SS does not operate the Medicaid program.
No you can just go there
No you don't! Just your license and a certified copy of your birth certificate.
If you don't have time to go down there, give them a call, and they will tell you what to do. However, if you have an online account with them, you can log in and check your eligibility to make any changes.
Visit any ssaoffice of ssa.gov
I am sorry, I am not an employee of this Agency.
You can walk in but your wait might be longer
Your id birth certificate and marriage certificate with you new married name.
Call the toll free number to make an appointment at your desired location.
You can either call their 1-800 number to schedule an appointment or look up social security administration you can Google it and it will tell you how you can set an appointment
The drop off box is inside and available until 4 pm.
It's by appointment if you wanna go inside. You can fill out the form at the door and put it in an envelope they have with your ID. Your ID will be mailed back to you in 7-10 days. If you have any questions, talk to the deputy at the door. They only let you in by appointment.
Call between 9am and 11am for best response time. You can also just read the description on the websites to do it digitally.
They have a guard at the door that accepts paperwork already filled out and let's people with appointments in. I called last week and got a person on the phone, it did take almost a 20 minute hold. DO NOT HANG UP when it rings then goes silent for a few seconds... it is my understanding you have to call first. I am sorry for your loss. Do you have any old tax returns of your mother's? It will be on there.
They will not give you an appointment unless its something you cant do through mail. I had to drop all my documents in a dropbox just inside the door.
Yes, you must have to be set up an appointment before you go.👍
You have to schedule one via the phone number. Problem is, it can end the call sometimes.
Yes,you can call the SSA close to you. Depends on what it is they would give you a date.
Call them. They only give appointments depending on how urgent your request is due to covid.
When I went to drop my envelope with id and application for replacement, I saw people inside, sitting, waiting to be seen. I didn't need an appt, So one has to call to make one.
Call the Social Security Administration
You need to call them in advance to book an appointment. They will tell you what documents to bring when you call.
You can call there number, and make an appointment. it's only open by appointment only. But its quick and easy when you go in. There only doing one or two people at a time. Just make sure you all your documents.
Just call them and let them know the person has died.
They are currently closed for walk in service. You have to call the office and make an appointment. They start seeing people at 11AM but only with appointment.
No its not
You will have to contact Ssi asap and tell them you have relocated.
It took us 2 to 4 weeks
Probably. I would call them. They'll probably make you come to the office to get it or they might mail it.
Yes
I would think you'd need your Id, probably a check stub and proof of your visa and GRA. You can also check the website. Socialsecurity.gov
You'll need their birth certificates.
No
You have to fill out application and go to your local office with you passport, birth certificate and or driver's license. You can mail the app but are required to mail the original documents . So if it gets lost in the mail you no longer have those things. Just take your app to the office. They have an area set up just for that. So it shouldn't take long. And if your name is different on your birth certificate than your license. You need a copy of your marriage license and the divorce papers if your no longer married
Yes. Her mother's benefits are separate from her own.
At the DMV with a doctor's request form.

If they say that they are with the government, it is a scam. Government correspondence is by mail.
The www.ssa.gov website should provide that information.
I believe so,if you were married and the spouse passes, you can collect theirs,or if you're on disability, and you turn sixty something you could be eligible, refer to your local social security office to be sure,or other feedback,😀
You can apply on line but I think the is a fee. If you go to social security I believe it is free.
When you go into the office they give you a print out of your number. The actually card takes a couple weeks to arrive. Hope this help.
No they are open 9:00am to 3 PM. No appointment necessary. Also appointment can take months to get.
Birth certificate only proved that you were born. You need ID or driver's license

Sorry Lisa, not able to answer your question, my guess is call the courthouse in your area, they may be able to help you,😁 CONGRATS!!!!

Social Security Administration Kimberly Fowler a month ago Make appt Helpful? Edit your answer Jacob Lyle in the last week They have a ticket system where you take a ticket and wait for your number to be called (similar to the drivers license center and the unemployment office). Best advice: arrive 30 min before they open to get in the front of the line. Also, remote offices in small towns/cities have almost no wait time. Busy locations will have you there for hours. Driving a bit farther may not be a bad idea. Make sure you have any/all paperwork with you needed to complete your transaction. Also, carry in two forms of payment: cash and VISA credit/debit card. I've seen their credit card systems not work in the past. No one likes returning and waiting in line all over again. Cheers!!
No. SSA refuses to do this. Put credit freezes with all 3 credit reporting companies and open a mysocialsecurity.gov account. Also file a police report anytime someone uses your number for establishing credit or a new identity. But no, new SS numbers are not given out.
Oh yeah
There is a list on the site of what different forms of ID you can use it. License & birth certificate is what I took
Get your passport at post offices. It's easy. Bring correct paperwork, funds, and passport photo from a Walgreens pharmacy.
