If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I was searching for a studio that offered YTT, browsed studios from Rock Hill, Fort Mill/Tega Cay (where I live) and Charlotte and came across the website for CFYC. I saw the location and realized it was about an hour away from me but I continued checking the site out. I read about what the studio offers, classes, workshops, the YTT program, and it all sounded great. When I read the teachers bios I really felt drawn to the studio, I felt such good energy. I had found a few studios closer to me that also offered the program I was interest in, but I kept thinking about this one. So I scheduled a class and drove all the way there to feel it out in person. I instantly felt welcomed and a strong sense of belonging, everyone was so genuinely kind and friendly. The class was great, and even more the sense of community. I signed up and having been driving an hour each way for months now, and don’t mind at all because the feeling I get stepping into the studio each time is completely worth it. The owners, Vicie and Kara, have created a studio with such a magical atmosphere, where you can feel welcomed immediately and just know you are exactly where you should be. It really is a place for everyone, and I for one am so grateful to have found this gem. I can proudly say I completed my YTT program and WOW I have learned so much and truly enjoyed every minute of it! This studio has so much to offer, if anyone is looking for a studio to call home I highly recommend it! Drop in for a class and see for yourself!

After my first class at CFYC, my only thought was that I need more of this in my life. The people have such a positive energy and they offer classes of all types from deep stretch and flow, to power and rocket yoga, in addition to kid and family yoga. The instructors all do a wonderful job of accommodating participants from all aspects and offering lots of adaptations for those who are just starting out or have an injury that limits their range of motion. Before starting yoga I was going to a chiropractor weekly along with deep tissue massage twice monthly and I was still in chronic pain. When I realized that I was taking 800mg of ibuprofen several times a day I knew I had to do something different. Since starting my regular practice of yoga almost 1 year ago I have grown 3/4”(I’m 43yrs old) I rarely take NSAIDs or feel the need for a massage and I haven’t been back to the chiropractor. The practice has been life changing but it is the people of CFYC that keep me coming back.

Charlotte Family Yoga is truly one of my happy places! The owners are the most welcoming and inspirational I have encountered and they have built an incredible team of teachers. The variety of classes are great and range from Slow Flow to Rocket Yoga, so something for everyone. There is no judgment and everyone supports others no matter where they are in their practice. Join us on the mat, you won't be disappointed.
