Dr Williams is knowledgeable and compassionate. She will sit with me for an hour explaining the diagnosis and how to treat it. She is an all around wonderful person who cares about everyone. I wouldn’t trade her for any doctor in the world!

Sadly I cannot recommend this provider to anyone. My experience with Dr. Williams was less than desirable. My mother-in-law was a resident in an area nursing home and Dr. Williams was one of the providers in the facility. My wife and I hired Dr. Williams to manage her care. Shortly after hiring her, the nursing home made a mistake in caring for my mother-in-law. Dr. Williams met with us and her conversation with us was condescending and disrespectful to say the least. Dr. Williams took the side of the nursing home instead of considering the interests of the patient and the concerns of the family she was charged with caring for. On a separate occasion, when my mother-in-law fell ill while in the nursing home, Dr. Williams refused to listen to our concerns and would not entertain our requests for treatments that had helped her for similar illnesses in the past. Dr. Williams initially refused to treat my mother-in-law and then prescribed the wrong treatment for her. Unfortunately, we did not discover this was the wrong treatment until my mother-in-law was rushed to the emergency room. We were told by the hospital that the damage had already been done and they would try to reverse it but were unsure if they would be able to. Unfortunately, they were not able to correct it and my mother-in-law passed a few weeks later. To exacerbate matters, we told Dr. Williams that her services were no longer needed after we became disgusted with the treatment she provided. After being informed she was no longer needed, Dr. Williams contacted the nursing home which resulted in my mother-in-law not being able to return to the facility for hospice care. This created another problem of trying to find a place for my mother-in-law to receive hospice care while the hospital was ready to discharge her. Not something a family should have to do when a loved one is near death. Especially after she made the mistake. My experience with Dr. Williams had previously been very good, which was why I was so shocked at the treatment she provided us and my mother-in-law. During the brief time she cared for my mother-in-law, she was condescending, talked down to my wife and I, and refused to listen to any questions we had about her care. She was also unwilling to listen to any recommendations we provided on her care, even though we had been helping care for her and her condition for several years. She was very short with us and acted put-out at anything we said. If you are looking for a provider for you or your loved one, I would look elsewhere. In my opinion, there is never an excuse for the treatment we received from Dr. Williams.

Teressa Williams is an unethical provider who is out of touch with reality and has difficulty listening to her patients and their families/caregivers. She began caring for my mother in May 2021 while residing in NHC Springfield. Without proper diagnostic testing, she was prescribed the wrong medication and treatment for approximately a week leading to her being rushed to NorthCrest and her untimely death. Her gross neglect caused a condition that the ER attending physician and the hospitalist described as "irreversible." My mom's medical team at NorthCrest attempted to reverse the damage but sadly was unable to, and my mom was moved into hospice, where she passed away weeks later. Theresa Williams visited my mom at NHC a few days before she was rushed to NorthCrest. My mom was lying in a bed, unresponsive, obviously sick. After leaving, Teressa Williams sent me a text message stating that she believed my mom had "years left with proper care." I had nurses, CNAs, and other medical staff that had worked with my mom acknowledge the drastic change in baseline, except for Teressa Williams. I should have heeded the warning signs. My first was in conversations with this provider; she openly discussed her discontent with PAs and APRNs making the same earnings as her but with less schooling. My second warning came when my husband and I met with her during her office hours to discuss my mom's care. Teressa Williams was argumentative and would not allow my husband and me the ability to talk. It was challenging to ask questions, given she spoke over us and would not listen. We honestly did not understand what we had walked into and questioned if she had the right family. I would never have stood for someone speaking to us with such disregard, except that she was assigned to my mother's care. In my humble opinion, Teressa Williams should not be a practicing provider. And please do not pay the extra fees associated with contracting her to care for you or your loved ones. If you have questions or want to discuss the above, do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
