Discovery Center is a wonderful place for younger children it has age appropriate activities for all ages. It is always clean and even has a police officer. Took the grandchildren and taking a great grandchild.

When we are in town we love to stop here. Our kid loves the water table and the second floor. It is really great for smaller kids!

Yes, it's part of the Greenway.
Yes
I'm not sure about that, but I don't know how much fun a 13 yr old would have at this location. It seems to be aimed more towards a younger crowd. I'm guessing they want all children to be supervised, but you can give them a quick call to find out. I didn't see any other 13yr olds while I was there.
$8 dollars per person (Adult or Child). Children 2 and under are Free. **They also offer Yearly Memberships for a year from $65 to $265 depending on the benefits you want out of your membership. https://explorethedc.org/join-us/
I think it is 8 dollars they also have membership options.
We had certain days that homeschool groups could go at a discounted rate through the cooperative. There is an outdoor nature area that is fun for older kids. I would say target ages for this location are 4 to 10. Older children could still enjoy too.
Outside food is allowed if you eat in the designated area. We took our pre-k students there on a field trip and brought sack lunches for everyone
Yes, they have an entire section for younger kids and toddlers
It's $8 for ages 2 and up. If you have the city saver there is usually a BOGO Deal or you can get the membership if you plan to go regularly
There are parent plus child, family, and etc. type memberships. There is not solely a child membership option.
Yes they do but for a 1 year old I'm not sure how much your daughter will get out of it. You need to check with them on that. But if most the kids are a little older it would be great.
Give the office a call. Usually high school aged.
There is reciprocal membership I believe. We visited Adventure Science Center during the Christmas break and we were able to get general admission for free with our Discovery Center membership.
I have taken my twin 7 year olds to Discovery Center since the flu outbreak and they have not gotten this year's flu vaccine nor have they developed the flu. That's my personal situation. As others have said, use your best judgement.
Because nobody cares to help them. It's sad. Pet overpopulation is such a problem 😢
I do, not sure anyone here has a clue... goodbye wildlife... hello kitty...
Yes, it's open and they have a nature walk outside to interesting discoveries inside.
