Great natural history museum with lots of fossil and mineral specimens to see! A fun experience for anyone interested in paleontology. There's even a T-Rex!

Love this place! It's informal and personal. Learn and experience all of its stuff as you want. Our kids asked a million questions and the volunteer staff was so patient and helpful. Great place!

This museum boasts some fine paleontological,geological, and archaeological treasures. Unique jade carvings from finds and one of 2 (in the world) casted find from Montana featuring an abundance of fossils-if you want to know of what creatures-you have to visit! There is a sabortooth for kids to climb on, which is a great photo op. The museum is in a warehouse- but don't let that fool you- go on in for a good tour. They have casted fossils for sale in the gift shoppe! First I've seen that and I've been to a few natural museums. My kids are now proud owners of fossil casts of a Megaladon tooth and raptor claw. There are several types fossils to choose from. Well worth your time if you like natural museums or if you're looking for a way to introduce your younglings to paleontology, archeaology, and geology (they even have a rock glow room)! Free entry for MTSU students.

Yes we have gift certificates. You can stop in and buy them in the gift shop.
Yes pictures are encouraged. We have little money to advertise and sharing pictures is a great way to get the word out about the museum.
Not sure if they do but man this would be a cool place for a birthday.

$7 for adults and children over age 11. $3 children ages 4 to 11. Under 4 free.
Murfreesboro has lots of restaurants, and I think you can leave and return to the museum on the same day.
