My overall experience was as expected. There were truly only two guards that stood out and actually took initiative to explain the rules. That was Mrs. Black who booked me, and Mrs. Hayes. They truly made this experience much easier. The nurses weren’t my favorite, they definitely go by their own rules and during booking they imply “when you need them, a guard will bring you down” but my experience with them was HORRIBLE. If your on your own medication I would take extra measures to make sure that what’s prescribed to you is given to you. They tried to give me meds without my knowledge and wouldn’t give me my prescribed medication that I was told to bring in! Nothing was discussed with me and I was very uncomfortable mentally. Other than that jail is jail and not a place you want to be.

Every officer i interacted with here was absolutely amazing! From day one to walking out it was truly a blessing to be here rather than 940 I’m so thankful I was able to do my time here. Thank you so much for making sure we were alright and for even chatting with us when we were down and making sure you let us know you didn’t want to see us back there again lol! -from the chick with the colored hair and the colored dog lol. Stay blessed.

Send money to commissary over the phone
Write it as if that is the inmate's regular address. They are a smaller facility and dont require a special format with inmate number or anything. So Inmate name first and last Rutherford County Work Center 1720 S. Church St. Murfreesboro, TN 37130
You can only send regular mail through then post office. The Correctional Work Center does not have the email system for its inmates.
Right now, per Ms.Linda at the workhouse, there's parking so you can drive yourself, don't leave any valuables in your vehicle though. You can bring: Four pairs of white underwear, Four white t-shirts, & Four pairs of white socks. Also any cash you have on you will be put on commissary
