You must have a CDL to operate: Any single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more. You will need to find what the gross vehicle weight rating is of your bus. This is not done through the Hamilton County Courthouse. I believe you have to pass the written test and then drive for at least 6 months with a licensed driver before you can make an appointment for the driving portion of the test. No. Only plates. License is a different place. Just FYI, you will have to do a smog test on the car for getting the plates. The people are super helpful.
