I brought in a fur lined jacket from Poland that was unfortunately a little too short in the arms and a little too snug around the chest (European sizing difference). The tailor modified the jacket by lengthening the sleeves and opening up the back with a material we chose, and added mink in the areas that needed it inside the lining. It turned out FANTASTIC. It's a perfect fit. I wasn't sure it could be done (as making a jacket larger is certainly harder than smaller), but the tailor knew exactly what he was doing. I would give him 6 stars if I could! We also bought a beaver fur coat for my wife and she absolutely loved it!
