My goodness, they were able to find our fly off bird. They were able to track us down and put a notification on our door. They took great care of her. These people really have their hearts into animals. Thank you so much everyone.

I would love to take ger so she doesnt have to go to a shelter
You have to call them to see what is available.
Because of Covid you now have to call and schedule an appointment. Go to their website to see which pets are up for adoption. I suggest picking a couple to look at, so you have a better chance of finding the right pet. Once there the staff will bring the pets out one at a time for you to meet them. They have a play yard for meeting dogs, and a play room for meeting cats
When they get rats they do put them up for adoption
Puppies under 6 months are $175.00 6 months to 6 years $150.00 and 6 years and older are $135.00 they are fixed and chipped before adopted
Yes, you can.
theyll kill it without even contacting you.
I doubt it but if call ahead
If you live in the 80220 zip code, call them during regular business hours, they are great with assisting over the phone, they can help you get it figured out. If you are outside their service area, they can let you know who to contact.
You can look at animals at no cost, but you have to schedule an appointment since Covid. You do have to pay to adopt them. The prices and which animals are up for adoption are on their website.
No, they get them adopted or send them to another place for adoption that will get them adopted. They don't put animals down because they are adopted.
No you do not need an appointment to adopt!!
You can always bring them to this animal shelter. They're super great!
I agree with Scott. Dumb friends league on Quebec maybe better to surrender your cat. They are a no kill shelter.
Yes you do ☺❤
No, you can abandon your eldery parents anytime.
You can call the shelter and speak with someone directly or you can drive up there and check
Yes
You currently have to call and make an appointment. Even with my recent appointment they didn't let me inside, someone came out to talk to me.
I know the Aurora animal shelter can answer that for sure. I know they have taken in birds
They do take rowels, blankets toys as long as they are in pretty good shape. Right now you can leave them at the door during business hours and call the number to let them know to look for them
They do. However you cannot be with your pet during, but you can request to see it afterwards.
No they are closed on government holidays
I would take the dog to the shelter and tell them your situation
Call shelter and see if they can do an intake or Foster for the dog.
Animals that are abandoned are held for one month, after that they are adopted out or killed.
No it's free you just fill out paperwork with history, so they can get them adopted faster
I don't have the authority to answer those questions for sure, but you can call them, when they will let you know. If you just can't keep them, you can sign them over to the shelter and they will get them adopted out.
I believe any animal that's trained for service is welcomed as a service dog but if you're using it as a comfort dog I'm not sure you might want to actually call the animal shelter I'm just Patron
I called like 20 times because my dogs were impounded in the lost and found Saturday and no one answered even though they made the initial call. Now they're locked up until Monday
They are a city shelter and must comply with city ordinances, however, all the shelters work together to ensure that an animal is not euthanized. They are moved around between shelters if time runs out, to ensure they have another chance to find their forever home. It is a great system.
Shelters don't typically pick up animals, u must take it in urself
Yes, 16 to 17 must be an accompanied by an adult. 15 and under cannot volunteer.
I think if you call animal control they will send an investigator over within a couple hours.
No, but every effort is made to avert that result via partner programs, etc. They are an Aurora city shelter, not private, and so must comply with city ordinances.
2 months also depends on how old it is
Shelter is closed today due to holiday
Proof of a rabbis shot. If you get a dog from aurora shelter the shot and license are included.
Declawing a cat is evil
Yes you do have to go through a process they ask your name and address and any information that you know about the dog
No they consider that confidential
If they need call for prices
Yes!
You can volunteer at 16 with a parent. You must be 18 to volunteer by yourself.
All vacinations done before adoption. Some Saturdays the mobile clinic there need to contact for dates
Poppies are more than the larger dogs
No they are an animal shelter they don't work as a vets office. They only treat and vaccinate the animals they are adopting out to new homes.
I actually don't work there but you can call them and they will let you know I assume that they get all different kinds of dogs and they get cats
I hope they're not free. You never know how someone will treat an animal if it's free
Call them
Call they send they folks for them
