Solid motel style Best Western just outside of Durango. Not a luxury stay, by any means, but a perfectly good option. You can tell the building is older by the way it and the rooms are laid out. Everything looks to have been updated recently, however. I was pleasantly surprised by our room. It was clean and well furnished. The bathroom, in particular, looked as though it was installed yesterday. Completely spotless and very nice! The hotel also has a very nice lobby with a serviceable breakfast. Pool area looked nice as well. Only downsides were that the age of the place showed through a bit. The walls were thin so it was easy to hear noise from the adjoining rooms and from people coming and going in the parking lot. Also it is a bit out of town, which didn't bother us, but could be a downside for some.

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, and an awesome free breakfast. They also have happy hour, giving each guest 2 free drinks. Wonderful location, too.

Nice lobby, decent customer service; however , laughable that this roadside budget motel is flagshipped a Best Western. This location tarnished the BW name and brand for us; cheap remodel of dilapidated budget motel = vinyl floors wreaking of dirty chem mop water and clumps of dog hair everywhere. We were feeling sick from chems so we took a wet towel to the floors and the result was disgusting. We checked out early the next morning and you could tell the front desk girl was probably used to it and let’s us check out early no problem. The breakfast truly is a joke w/ some packaged items that we didn’t eat. It’s a Shame that BW would allow this under what used to be reliable quality control. Will never stay or recommend this property, but it doesn’t matter bc they’ll still charge summer season rates and capitalize from unsuspecting tourists. I’ve been passing up Best Westerns ever since bc they’ve lost my trust.

The front desk staff and even the dining room staff are absolutely wonderful. Probably the most friendly hotel staff I have ever met. The room was okay. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was nice but it smelt a little musty. Other than that, an absolute wonderful stay and perfect for us and our dogs.

No microwave,fridge.fyi fridge has no freezer compartment. Would have been a plus
As long as there are pet friendly rooms. $20 per day up to 80 pound dogs. According to the website, check it for more info.
I believe they do. Down stairs by the front office. Check with staff. They are SUPER friendly!.
The fire is probably 10 miles from the hotel.
Thank you for your question. Everyone room at our inn has a refrigerator, but only the suites have both a microwave and refrigerator among other additional amenities.
