All in all, an ok place to stay. Dude forgot to give back my friends ID when checking in. We were trying to corral some visitors and she missed it. Didn't realize till we were down in Hollywood being "tour guides", and had to go back to get it. Not a BIG deal, but a bit of a mood dampener. Outside area to the street was full of trash. Caught some dude checking inside vehicles as we were leaving. Could have been better. But for THAT area? Could have been way worse.

This place is clean, had fridge & microwave, and pool, and was very conveniently located, and was walking distance to so many things most people would come to Hollywood for! It's not the fanciest place, but the customer service was absolutely top notch here, like that of a 5 star hotel! When you're travelling a lot, things can be hectic and it's not always easy to be on time with the hotel's check-in & out schedule, especially when things don't go exactly as planned. The guys managing this place added the human element to customer service, which was relieving, as I went through a lot of challenges on this trip, including nearly having my bank account drained by the Bird scooters in the area!! Seriously though, this place is great! They were more than accommodating by letting us check in early, as we had just flown into town, came in on a cab ride, and needed somewhere to keep our bags until we returned later that evening. They also knew we were having a rough time, so they also gave us a late check out because really needed it! The only issue I had was that the beds there were not big enough for 2 people. So if you get a double room, expect there to only be enough room in the beds for 1 person per bed comfortably, unless you are small people. I came with my 2 teens. I'm about an avg size, about 5' 6" and had a tough time sleeping next to my teenage daughter who is petite, without us being almost right up against each other, just to give you an idea. Other than that, I would stay here again, just with less people per bed. lol. I would give 4 stars because of the beds, but their customer service made up for it. Therefore I give 5 :)

Manager super accommodating, we had expensive e-bikes and did not want to leave them in our truck. He allowed us to lock them in underground parkade plus we were able to leave our truck at the hotel parking for the day after check out to do the hop on/off tour. Room was clean, great location to visit Hollywood Blvd & see the area.

While the building is a bit old and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy this hotel was a joy to visit. They did some great upgrades to make this old building feel new. "Wood" floors and tile bathrooms ensured a clean room. Location is convenient to Universal Studios (roughly 10 minute drive with easy freeway access) and "Hollywood" tourist attractions. plenty of restaurants and a few bars within an easy walk. The highlight of this place was the staff. Both at check in and at our daily comings and goings the front desk staff were charming and ready with a friendly greeting.
