I love how clean and bright the place is .my mom's in there for about 2 weeks and she's got a nice roommate and she has a nice TV that's clear and audible and nice selection of channels. Everybody is very nice and accommodating. I was very impressed

Nurses are caring and compassionate. The therapists are great, particularly PT & OT. Meagan from Speech Therapy is fantastic (she contributed to saving my wife's life by recognizing issues with her breathing and taking immediate action) The Wound Care nurse, Brian is GOLD! If he doesn't have an answer to a questions (and he usually does) he'll find it, if you need something, he'll get it. Don't hold your breath waiting for return phone calls from administration, it will never happen. Keep an eye on Charge nurse Joan, on the third floor. She's courteous and polite but argumentative and stubborn. It's her was or no way. She delayed my wife being transported to the hospital (breathing issue that Meagan picked up on) which could had resulted in her demise. Her nurse, Captain (that's his name) did the right thing and called the doctor, who inturn ordered that she be sent to the hospital stat. I overheard Joan chastising the nurse for calling the doctor and not trying other methods first. Her oxygen levels were dropping, heart rate extremely rapid and irregular and she was twitching. After giving her IV fluids, which the doctor ordered three hours earlier, to no avail, Joan said she was going to call the doctor. Afterwards she told me the doctor said to send her to the hospital (I don't believe she actually called because she would've had to tell the doctor that she ignored the original order to send my wife to the hospital in the first place) Once at the hospital she was diagnosed with a severe infection, and was in A-Fib for which they had to shock her severe times to get her heart back to the proper rhythm. The ER doctors told me that she got there in the nick of time, any longer and it may have been a totally different scenario. On a positive note, they offer unrestricted visits 24hrs a day. You can spend as much time with your loved one, or have other family members share the load and thus insure that the proper care and treatment is being received. I'm sure they are going to post a reply that if I wish to resolve the matter to call them as they do with every post.

Our experience with Luxor has been excellent. The reception staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The nursing services are excellent and recreational department is top notch always entertaining and extremely positive for the Residence. We would hardly recommend the Luxor for anyone who needed their services.

Worst rehab ever. Phone system doesn’t work. Messaging welcomes you to “Looks-or at Mills Pond.” My first red flag. I don’t know how my brother’s care is bc I can NEVER reach him. Beware.
