For a decent low-cost motel? They do it. A nice owner and employees. I have stayed several times and recommend them as long as you aren't expecting the Ritz Carleton.

I love these older motor-inn type motels anyway, but this one is a step above. Privately owned, the service we've received has been personal and friendly. The room was clean, nicely decorated and painted within recent memory. The beds were that nice blend of soft on top and firm underneath that makes sleeping in them a pleasure. The sheets are soft, the towels are thick and fluffy, there's plenty of hot water and a good shower head. The fridge and microwave are clean and work well. The location is great, just across the street from a large park with a wonderful playground (a big plus if you're travelling with kids!) It's within easy walking or driving distance of restaurants and shops, but it's turned sideways to the main road. Our room, in the middle of the complex of 20 rooms, was nice and quiet. We will stay here again when we travel to central Oregon.
