This community is not safe at all, I was almost mugged today by a guy who chased me to my apartment despite me rejecting to help him. Then he forcefully asked me to login to my bank app, then tried to hit me. I am threatened so much that I don't feel like going out of my apartments

I am amending my earlier one star review. As a long time resident, I can honestly say I've always enjoyed living here. The location is perfect, the maintenance team is the best you will find and the grounds are beautiful. The assistant manager is helpful and honestly listens and helps answer any questions you may have.

I have been a resident of MAA Chastain for the past 13 months and moved out this week. The past year flew by, and I had a great experience. The complex is nice, relatively quiet, and has a mixture of neighbors ranging from young professionals to families. Everyone I encountered was friendly, and this is one of the most dog friendly apartment complexes I've ever lived in. Rent is comparable to other places nearby and around Buckhead/Sandy Springs, but the difference is the quality of Chastain and the safety. It is double gated and every building has secured entrances that only open with a fob. I never felt unsafe, and enjoyed that the apartments are tucked back away from Roswell road. There is plenty of parking, but I recommend paying for the garage parking if you don't make it home from work before 6:00 PM, because the spots fill quickly, but usually open up within 30 minutes or so. The office staff was always helpful and the maintenance team is quick to respond. My water heater went out and they had a replacement in by the next day. I'm only leaving because I am relocating out of state for work, but to those considering this complex as their next next home - you're making a great choice! Highly recommend.

Lived there for 1 year, great entry rent price. Want to renew your lease? They go up 20%. Your rent will increase by $300 +. Oh, you want to move out when your lease is up? They want a 60 day notice. OOOh, you want to break your lease and move out because you lost your job OR need to leave the state for any reason? They want 60 day notice PLUS 2 months rent to break your lease. What a bunch of money hungry SOB's. This place is fine as long as you dont have any life changing events that occur during your lease. They will have no mercy upon your soul. Based upon this, i give them 1 star. Human compassion is a big deal to me. I have repeatedly complained to them about pet urine in the stairwells and spiderwebs but they do not care. But if your a day late with rent, they are banging on your door with eviction letters and charge you $100. I do not advise staying here for more than 1 year.
