I haven't gotten any problem with buses. Try using Marta On The Go app to check the schedules and follow them in Twitter, they announce when buses or trains are delayed. I hope it helps.

If you have one at the top I do not know if it is public or from the station
Lindbergh but you can also take a bus #26 from Arts Center
I would suggest use your GPS and set destination to reach Arts center station. Once you reach the transit station load/reload your breeze card with Atleast one trip (costs 2.50 $ each trip + 2$ breeze card fee). You can obtain the breeze card from any of the vending machine. Get to platform level and catch onto SOUTHBOUND train. Get off the train at the last stop, In about 30 min you can reach Atlanta domestic terminal(expected of no delays in schedule)
If you were waiting for it to go back downtown, it stops running going that way at like 7:30. It onlyakes loops uptown after that, i dont know why but ot is what it is. I guess their catering to where theoney is. If you are traveling downtown, you will have to take the train
