Hotel is ok but they charge early checking fee. The best hotel that’s better and cleaner than Motel 6, and who will waive early checking fee, is Laquita inn.

AC is really outdated, feels like the air is dirty and the filter needs to be changed. The elevator stinks and I did not feel comfortable or clean during my stay at all. I wanted to get a refund and go somewhere else but it’s non refundable. I’ve stayed at other motel 6’s that weren’t like this.

We almost always stay at Motel 6 when we travel, mostly because they are pet friendly. This one was a bit more expensive than we had been paying plus we were asked to leave a $20 deposit that we would get back in the morning..have NEVER had to do that before. The ice machine had been leaking, looked like for a long time, and there was a huge wet spot in the hall carpeting. Our room was bare essentials, bed, desk, bathroom, no chairs no mini fridge. There was a dark nickle sized stain right in the middle of the bedspread. Everything else was clean. It was extremely noisey, trains, sirens, people tromping around above us, loud music and loud talking. Staff was friendly but very slow checking us in and out. We will avoid that particular site from now on.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time now, since moving to the Midwest, that I find a motel I've booked (I always stay at places around this price point) to be superior to your typical 2 star hotel. The exterior and the lobby were normal, but the room itself was really nice, with paint, linens, and furniture matching in color. Everything was new and in great condition.
