We moved my Mom here in January of 2020 when it was new and had just opened. It has been all downhill since then . They continue to build more assisted living facilities in the Cleveland area , building homes next to Vitalia in Strongsville , but they can’t or won’t pay to staff the already existing facilities . This outfit doesn’t care about you or any loved one you are considering moving into one of their facilities , they care about making money and the bottom line . One “ small “ example , the front door handicapped plates you push to open the door did not work for over two years , the City of Strongsvillle building department was contacted as our anger and frustration grew with the complete lack of concern by Vitalia , and they are just as bad , they did nothing , basically claiming it wasn’t their job . This place is very expensive and not worth any of the costs. Don’t buy the sales pitch , if you or your loved one can afford it , my Mom unluckily could , avoid it for every reason .

My grandmother was there in memory care for almost 2 years. Her room was often dirty with ants. There were dirty towels in the bathroom for days. Some woman resident would go in her room and take things and nothing was ever done about it. Many times while visiting, none of the staff checked in on her. When she needed something we had to walk around the place to find a staff member and they were usually on their phones. My grandmother suddenly passed away. They charged us for everyday her things were still in the room never offering their condolences. All they cared about was money. They didn’t offer a grieving period or anything. No compassion. Do not send your loved ones here!

My mother has lived at Vitalia for almost 2 years now. The building is new, fresh and clean. The staff is marvelous. Pre -Covid when I was able to visit, the staff always knew my name when I walked in and who my mother is which felt really special. Even now, they somehow recognize me behind my mask:) it wasn’t easy getting my mother to move out of her house where she was leaving her comfort zone and many many memories. Vitalia has gone out of their way to make that transition as smooth as possible. I would live there if they would let me!🧐
