2022 Update: There is still a persistently low bar here at the highlands. Emails rarely get answered. Voicemails also don’t seem to spur action. Most recent issue, the dog waste bins not being emptied nor bags restocked. I sent an email last week AND left a voicemail AND talked to a maintenance person I saw elsewhere out on the property, and the bins are still overflowing with waste and still not stocked with bags. The one just above their main office on the north side has not been attended to in over a month now because it has been out of bags three whole weeks and overflowing with waste two whole weeks. Since it takes about two weeks for it to run out of bags, that means it’s been about 5 weeks since anyone did anything there. Shameful. 2021 original review: It was great when we moved here in 2016, but they aren’t keeping up the place the way they used to—sidewalks crumbling, fencing rusted through and falling down in many areas, streetlights don’t come on anymore on the north side at night, gates too often broken or obstinate to get to open, maintenance takes a ridiculously long time to show up after a ticket is submitted, phone messages left at main office routinely go unanswered, air filters are no longer changed in HVAC unless specifically requested, no longer routinely spray units to keep the summer beetle barrage out, siding is pealing around the bottom edge of buildings and gypboard on inside showing moisture where siding is compromised. Our first couple years here were completely different story—service and maintenance were top notch. And no, the current low bar isn’t because of Covid because the downward slide started a couple years ago.

I can't thank Gabby any more then she has done for us. We downsized and she helped with anything we needed. She is a great person and smiles all the time. We believe this will be our our forever home. Just wanted to update from 3 years ago, this is still a great place to live! The staff has been so helpful to me and maintenence is wonderful. The grounds are beautiful. For me it is very peaceful here and I feel safe.

The community here is so quaint and clean! A place I can definitely see myself raising my son in! There is so much space in our apartment that we feel so comfortable doing our own things on a day to day basis!
