We came here for brunch and it was such a great experience! Duck is definitely their strong suit. The duck in the hash and the duck and waffle are both so delicious. Although for the hash you really don’t get much duck meat. The waffle itself was pretty dry but the pickles they put on top are pretty interesting addition to the flavor. Also recommend their bread board! Everything is made in house and everything on the board is soooo delicious!

My daughter and I booked an early reservation on a Friday afternoon to beat the evening rush. We were the only patrons at the time and had no issues with placing our order and receiving them in a timely fashion. I ordered the Chicken Gnocchi and she the Shrimp and Grits. I found my dish to be tasty and fulfilling even though the portion looked small. As an appitizer, we ordered the clams which were alittle gritty and the buttered French bread slices sprinkled with basil that accompanied them tasted bland., hence the 4 stars.

My boyfriend and I have a thing about brunch; we go to a different spot every Sunday! Thus far, after many brunches, The Shaved Duck is the only spot we’ve gone to more than once. This place is the best brunch in Richmond. The french toast is amazing, and the grits are my favorite. This place is family friendly, but the drink menu is great for couples!
