Went in for nerve pain thinking this was an urgent care facility. It's a family practice and I'll begin going here full time after today. I was squeezed in very quickly without an appointment, was out the door in less than an hour, and most importantly the diagnosis has my nerve pain manageable 2 hours later. I went from feeling like I was dying to a very content man in a matter of hours.

Every business has both pros and cons. I will start with the pros: People are very nice, especially Margo who is quite competent and knowledgeable. Nurse Christina (2) is also competent and kind. It is conveniently located if you live in Lake of the Woods. Cons: There is something broken in the communications in this office. I think the problem is that there is NO CONSISTENCY in the practitioners. I could be wrong but I think it is a bunch of part-timers who work there. TOO many cooks really do spoil the stew. So if you go in for a problem on Monday and need more treatment on Wednesday, forget about any continuity and expect a LOT of miscommunication (and having to repeat yourself). I visited one day last week with a minor infection that required antibiotics. I was very explicit that I could not take a certain type of pill (large tablets). When I went to pick up the prescription, guess what? It was a tablet the size of a football! It took me a long time on the phone with Rapidan (a different PA from the original one that I saw) and CVS to get it straightened out. It got sorted out and they called in the corrected prescription. The next day yet a different PA called to say that she was going to call in a prescription. She didn't know that it had already been called in, corrected, resubmitted and picked up. REALLY? Don't they take notes and write down meds that have been prescribed on a person's chart? The people at the front desk, also nice, but always seem breathlessly busy, rushed and harried. If you call to see if there is an opening or (God forbid!) you asked to speak to a PA or doctor, they remind you how very busy they are and they "might" be able to squeeze you in sometime later. And forget about talking to a doctor or PA (even if it is just a follow-up question). They, too, are very busy. I have often felt like my call was a burden to them and the vibe is "I am really busy and don't have time for you." I know that the way insurance works puts enormous constraints on medical practices. But if this were my business, I would get rid of all the part-times, have a regular and consistent set of doctors and PA's available and get more help at the front desk and nursing staff. CONTINUITY! And for Heaven's sake, keep accurate notes on a patient's chart. Bottom line: If you have a small medical concern, this center would be okay but otherwise, proceed with caution and plan to be your own very strong advocate.

Margo Bragg is the best. She is a practicing physician not a nurse practitioner. Why people assume this 🤔. I wonder do they think that of the male practicing physician? Although we often have to wait an hour to be seen, she is very attentive to my Mother. She listens, that's a big plus in my book. The front entrance is not handicap accessible, which is on the owners. I would give Margo 5 stars but this is not a Margo review. Rachel is not very personable, neither is Dr Johnson. But I would choose Rachel over Johnson. And the cleaning crew lacks experience. They accept Medicare but not Medicaid.
