If you are in need of a skilled machinist, go see Jeff at Action Machining. I had a little titanium knuckle duster I needed a lanyard hole added to. I got a lot of run-around from other shops about how they're backed up and some told me "not just anyone can machine titanium you need specialty tools." Finally landed at Action Machining in lorton. Spoke to jeff over the phone he told me come on down. I showed up and explained what i wanted he took me back into his shop, chucked the thing in a mill and machined a perfect counter sunk lanyard hole for me in about 5 minutes. Obvioualy this was more of a show piece than something for work but he took care not to mar the finish or scratch it, he was careful clearing shavings away and it came out great. Im super happy with it, cant recomend this place enough.

I purchased a chandelier with two down rods (stems), they were 24 inches and they were too long. I asked Jeff to cut them down to 12 inches each and thread the instead. He was fast, proficient and affordable

I can't recommend Jeff at Action Machining enough. He is a genuinely nice guy, and an absolute expert at his trade. I was turned away and given a hard time at a few other machine shops in the area, and was just made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. Jeff was beyond helpful and even better, had it completed very quickly. If you're reading this review, don't even go to anyone else in the area. Just go see Jeff, he will win you over by just talking to him. This trade is an art form, and there are not many people like Jeff left. I'll definitely be back in the future.
