If you like the look of train stations this is a nice one. However, you can tell that there was effort to make it look like the neighborhood use to be. I do love the use of the iron work. This is a shared station so not only does Amtrak use the station but there's a local commuter train called Sun Rail, I think.

Clean, pleasant and comfortable building where you can purchase tickets, heck baggage or just make reservations. Air co ditioned inside. Outside is attractive too. The employees are quick and really nice and they are Knowledgeable agents that have always answered all my questions. Taking the train is fun again!

Not on the Silver Star. However, you can still make your way to the Canadian Rockies by transferring onto the Maple Leaf in NYC and ride that to Toronto. Then you take the Canadian from Toronto to the Canadian Rockies.
No Amtrak do not charge for disability devices and will assist you aboard the train also ,also a nice travel
