My first impression of the hotel was not shocking. It is not a luxury hotel but the reception was excellent, the entry process was fast and very good cleanliness in the main Lobby area. The elevators are in very good condition and when you arrive at the room very good impression, very spacious, good view of the bay, good temperature and good smell, the best thing about the room is the bathroom, super spacious and comfortable. The only downside is that it doesn't have a refrigerator but nothing so necessary for us. My Joe Google Rate is: 95%

Great location, very close to the Buccaneers stadium (you can see it) and about 25 minutes from Tropicana field. The place looks nice, has a Starbucks and restaurant in the lobby. The rooms are not very good though. Phone didn't work and could connect to room service. Some rooms have refrigerators and some don't. The tvs are dated and randomly turn off. The views are great though and they appear to be working on the rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Honestly disappointed. Just want to start with saying that the staff was very nice, but that's the only good part. Rooms are very outdated. I paid extra for a top floor room; the view was the only thing that made the room bearable. Small, poorly lit rooms. Not even a microwave, so don't even worry about bringing leftovers back to the room. There's also no pool here, not sure where the Google pictures of pools came from... The top floor bar/roof area are non existing. There's literally nothing to do if you're stuck at the hotel for the day. Overall I feel ripped off staying here. Almost $300/night is insane for what felt like a multi-level motel.

The hotel is drastically under serviced. The fitness center had trash overflowing and was never emptied over the four days I was there. The machines haven't been cleaned with all sorts sweat and dust all over them. My room key stopped working and when I asked for help, the girl acted like I was a giant inconvenience to her day. To top it off, I was charged an extra $100 and when I queried the front desk, the hotel staff was gruff and short, cutting me off at every word. I was told to wait a few days to see if the extra charges that they "couldn't see" disappeared. That's fine but I would think one would be more apologetic with the mistake. Our toilet wouldn't flush when we first go there but didn't discover it until the morning. We were told that no one could service it until later as there is only one employee on call overnight. Westin has surely lost its edge. No daily cleaning of the room - ok, I can live with that but no replenishment of coffee, tea, etc. either. I'd stay away from this location.
