We just finished with our SOFIC convention here and not impressed with this venue. They have the worst convention staff, our hired labor never showed up, tried to charge us$600 to vacuum a 10x20' booth, bathrooms weren't working for 17,000 attendees and AC didn't work in the afternoons. Find a better convention center if planning one here.

My first time at the Tampa Convention Center was for a car show and it was definitely a cool location. There are outdoor areas to walk by the water, plenty of spots nearby to grab tasty food. The bathrooms are very clean and all of the employees I countered were very friendly!

From an exhibitor perspective, this is a good convention center. The staff is friendly, load-in and load-out is very organized, and even being in a busy area, there's pretty good options for parking within a five minute walk.

The important thing to know is which beach? The closest one to the convention center would probably be Davis Island which is about 4 miles.
Yes, it is at the top level facing the west. Access is through the Bay Shore side ramp on the north.
