To give it one star is a credit. I was traveling back home to WV and needed help with a tire air stem; we were there for 4 hours, the sensor they installed in my tire with the stem was not programmed AND they have the wrong spare tire. I spoke with the manager, Noah, and he refuses to listen to reason regarding my spare - my spare was a 17" with a hubcap that my Bose speaker fit down into and then they were secured with a bolt. The spare I was sent home with is a 16" tire that is too small for my spare tire compartment and does not fit my speaker at all. Also, the employees of Pep Boys left the spare and speaker loose in the back of my car without securing or attempting to put back together). I had to remove the spare to be able to secure my speaker in the car so I am running around without a spare. I had to come home and go to my tire center because my tire pressure lights were still on after traveling for 6 hours. As mentioned, the sensor was not programmed so my warning lights would not go off. My mechanic replaced the sensor and confirmed the fact that I had the wrong spare tire. I have tried several times to reason with Noah as a replacement spare to fit my car/speaker is very expensive. He refuses to entertain the prospect of this happening.

Had an appointment, verified twice but when I arrived, they scheduled me during the technicians lunch break. Not cool. These appointments are every 15 minutes. Next, without permission, they opened the engine compartment and did an inspection of my air filter. I arrived 11:43 and left 1:20. I've had better service times as a walk-in at competitors. Made a return trip after noting vibration in the steering wheel. Front tires were not properly balanced. Noah took good care of me at no charge for rebalancing. My cost was well over an hour of my time, chilling in the waiting room. I saw posted on the door I should have received a Senior discount; Dee never mentioned it.

Yes if they can do it and the tire still be considered safe to use.
Yes they collect hydraulic oil, batteries, used transmission fluid & used oil from our D.I.Y. customers, dispose of them properly and recycle when possible. That's a good question that only a Pep Boys tech can answer; if they don't answer here I would call them around 8 am in the morning and stay on the phone this time.
