Their shelter is a stellar example of compassionate shelter care for animals and their humans. I highly recommend adopting here

My wife and I adopted a 8 month old kitten. His name is "Duke". He is very cute and sweet. The adoption process was quick. The staff is very friendly. The facility looks clean and well kept. The staff really cares about the animals who are there. I absolutely recommend Lost Our Homes.

Our experience was very positive. Everyone at the rescue, especially Lily, worked with us to make sure we got the dog we wanted. We are so happy with Buddy! Thank you!

Thank you! My dog was stolen by a neighbor, and returned to this location. Amazing people. Amazing crew. My dog didn't look shaken up after taking her back home .. and that means they took good care of her. Much appreciated! -Roxwell Z Entertainment

You need to call them. This is just a question and answer for them. The phone number is on the main page.
Jody Polanski is the person at LOST OUR HOME that you should speak to ASAP!
Rosario, if you go to our website and fill out an application that starts the process. An Adoptions Counselor will be in touch to set an appointment from there. In case you haven't started an application all you do is go to lostourhome.org :)
We do have puppies up for adoption. Our mission is to help pets and people in crisis which includes pets in need of a new loving home. Our website has all our adoptable pets on there, including puppies for adoption. Check the website www.LostOurHome.org often because we adopt out about 850 pets a year so new pets are being posted for adoption all the time. Puppies get adopted fast. Also keep up with our facebook because we post pets on there too sometimes before our website to let everyone know who will be up for adoption soon. https://www.facebook.com/lostourhome
They take bedding and linens as donations. Just drop them off.
From this facility? None. They only adopt out kittens that are old enough to need little requirements.
You can call and ask if they'll take it.
They will reach out to you for the next available orientation, then you can start as soon as you can.
As long as you dont come in looking to surrender your pet we can help. There is a process though and like Karin Lathin said it would be best to call our shelter, let them know your situation and theyll go from there.
Call them to arrange a later pick up date. As long as you stay in contact with them and keep them updated in your situation I don't see any reason why not. But call them to find out for sure.
Hi Richard, I'm not sure if they will take any food you can call them in the morning to ask them. I don't work their I was just taking someone to the location. Thank you and good luck!
Im not sure if you can just walk in and we would help but we could definitely help you if you go on to our website an fill out an application that way we can make sure we hold a kennel open for your dog
If you are needing to surrender or interested in temporary care, both applications can be found on our website, lostourhome.org under the "Get Help" tab. Once the application is submitted, that department will reach out to let you know if there is a waitlist or not. There usually is, so I would recommend you get your application submitted asap!
The main page for rescue/intake on lostourhome.org will explain all the steps. The application on the same page is the first step.
35 intake fee and its a process they need to make sure they can take the animal do some test probably take about a week to surrender or they do temporary holding of an animal as well. My husband works for them so I know the ins and outs
Hi my name is tessa. I work at lost our home pet rescue. We have a food bank program that can help give people dog and cat food. We sre only a dog and cat shelter so do not have any bunny food. But we can help with the cats. If you go to www.lostpurhome.org there is a food bank option with a form to fill out. Ots super easy and hope this helps
Looks like right now they're not doing boarding, I assume because of corona. You can see more info on their website page. https://www.lostourhome.org/get-help/low-income-boarding Across the street from here though is VCA University Animal Hospital and they do boarding. Might be cheaper than a pet hotel, but I'm not sure.
Highly recommend them
This is not the official site of the rescue. You need to call them directly if you want an answer about what type of animals they have at their establishment. those type of questions generally freak me out because the only type of people that ask those questions are those that have snakes and don't want your pay for rats and or mice and you feed them to your snakes so you're looking to get free rats food for your snakes. Tell me I'm wrong. There's not too many people who keep rats for pets I'm going to rager I guess that you are more of the former I eat you on snakes and look for free food. You're weird
The one I went to in Tempe only had cats and dogs at the time....so I don't think so. I'm pretty sure if you called them they would be more then happy to direct you to a place that does😍. Or you could even try the humain society in sure they would have some.❤ Good luck
My vet charges $23.09
Yeah Maricopa or Arizona Humane Society for the kittens in the month lost her home is still under construction so there their cats and stuff are all over the place but it's best to do that to do that and they will be taken care of very well or if you live out past bill Halo is another good one that will take the kittens in the mom and they will take care of them and feed them if they need to be fed are what you know if Mom's not doing it anymore or or whatever but yeah
Check with lost our home.
The Maricopa County Animal Shelters ALWAYS have pitbulls available for adoption.
Yes they do. They are currently doing a remodel, but call them.
Lost our home will take in your loved pet if you are in transition. Talk with their staff. Be open and honeat and give them a time line on when you can take your loved pet back into your new home. They saved my boy Ludwig from my loss. They got you...
Thanks for checking. We do not have a need for them but we appreciate you asking
Children may volunteer with an adult. Go to the website and register to attend an orientation to get started.
Hi Gabriella, Lost Our Home does not have Guinea Pigs but I saw a few rescue guinea pigs on Petfinder.com. https://www.petfinder.com/search/small-furry-for-adoption/us/az/scottsdale/?species=Guinea+Pig Good luck!
The most common seen in animals in shelters is kennel cough. Its a respiratory infection that spreads easily because of the dogs being in close quarters. At Lost Our Home we treat any illness an animal has, and don't put them up for adoption until they're no longer sick. If you think a pup might be sick, ask your vet.
There is a surrender fee of about $40 but they will probably take him. It's a good shelter.
Just go in in person and talk to them. Bring a photo and anything you can to prove its yours. someone must have taken it there because they don't do strays. So someone is claiming it's theirs somehow. You'll probably have to prove its your dog. Good luck, I sincerely hope you get your dog back.
They will take your animals for 90 days maximum. They have to be fixed. So if they are old and not fixed, they won't take them. They are very nice and very understanding. They do have foster care, but the facility is also very good. You can visit them just about every day until 6pm or so. They have lots of volunteers that work there. They have lots of love to give them. After you leave they will continue to help you with food for them as well. It's a very welcoming place. Dogs are walked daily and cats are free to roam in large rooms with others that are like them. They (both dogs and cats) are brought in and tested for health and only after that can they mingle with the other pets. I would recommend them. They put your mind at ease and gives you one less thing to worry about while you get your life back together. They are very helpful and caring and non- judgemental which helps alot. Go visit them and see for for yourself. Talk to them. They will help you for sure!
No they dont ,bu they have acertificate to get it done
Call them and ask
I don't know. I'm a volunteer for the dogs & cats.
I would call before you go there. I know they are closed on one day of week. I had a friend who went to adopt a dog from lost our home.when they told them that they was getting social security they told them can't adopt a dog from them.if you are looking to adopt go to Halo they have a day to adopt free cats and dogs. I get my dog from Halo i get my dog for free.
Call Lost Our Home directly
Yes, call them. Amazingly friendly, we fostered a little guy for a week. Needed to see if he would get a long with my other dog. When sadly it wasn't a good match, no hard feelings. They have my vote when we are ready. Highly recommend.
