Environment is decorated nicely, employees are very nice but I'd ask for Allison personally as your waitress. She was on top of her game and very attentive to our table. Food was delicious......the cheese sticks were so good. Prices are very reasonable.

A great place to eat, at a reasonable price. The experience in the restaurant depends on the waiters.it can be awesome or can be horrible. I've experienced both in the last 5 times I was there. when you have a good waiter you will have fast service, good drinks, warm food. Just awesome! If you have a not-so-good one (which lately I experience a lot), your drinks won't come one time or not at all, food will be waiting in the kitchen and will serve to you cold. I hope you guys will have a great experience!

Disclaimer: I am not a chef and these comments are based on my own likes and dislikes. I make all attempts to be fair and provide explanations for my decisions. Please visit this establishment to form your own opinion. It has been quite a few years since I have visited Dunlap's. I enjoyed seeing the stylish decor which comes with most upscale restaurants, not a small diner in the town of Gettysburg. Breakfast consisted of chipped beef with a side of hashbrowns with added onion. I understand restaurants change ingredients to have their food stand out as a different twist on a recipe, however in my opinion, this recipe was a big fail. A thin gravy totally missed the basic element of a great SOS which is the rich creaminess brought together by rue of butter, flour and cream/milk. This had the taste and appearance of chopped beef mixed with last night's chicken gravy. Settling for a couple of eggs as a replacement, I ordered 2 over medium with toast. Not all toast is the same and theirs is delightful!! Crisps edges with the center softened by the richness of butter. Yum! The eggs on the other hand were barely over easy with the uncooked whites mixing with the center yoke. I now remember why we had chosen other restaurants in town over visiting Dunlaps for breakfast. Perhaps lunch or dinners are better?

I checked reviews before we went and they were decent. Very disappointing! I ordered the veggie wrap. It was OLD bagged salad mix with a slice of processed cheese on a stale wrap for $8.50. The shredded carrots were dehydrated and brown. Nope! The staff was nice tho.
