I didn’t use this place. Unfortunately, I called the EMERGENCY number, 30 minutes before they opened, I spoke to an actual human and explained I had sewer water coming up thru bathtub and toilet( Gross) I told him it is URGENT. Never got a call back! It’s 3:57 pm. I finally called them, told them no one got back to me. Got a “sorry”. I had to join the gym this morning, so I can shower for work, manage BODILY functions, (pee in the backyard) ya, I admitted it! Long story short. Emergency plumbing? Ya, not so much here. The earliest they can come is between 7AM -11 AM tomorrow. Seriously? Wouldn’t I be considered first in line? Whatever. If you got that kind of time, and no emergency, there reasonable. But if you don’t, you better have a back up plan if you call this place. Luckily, I have been homeless before, so I will survive. Good luck. Thanks for no call back!

A place of zero experience and zero regard. You give a few people with masters degrees some power and it goes to their heads. AZ is know for the worst board in the USA>
Job Seeker
I spoke to a staff member, explained my situation & I was actually encouraged to apply for LASAC. I also applied for LMSW in another state. The other state had a board meeting & approved my LMSW application based on education & work experience once I had all my documentation sent in. The AZBHE did not approve my application. I withdrew the application, as I was not interested in meeting their requirements & forfeited the hard earned application fee I paid. But the AZBHE made sure to publish my name & other information online, Stating I was denied licensure. I had no idea they had done this, until a future employer informed me of this. And a job offer withdrawn, because on my Job application I had checked that I had never been denied a license. I had no idea that AZBHE, makes all of their board meetings public records that are “googable”. FYI, the state that approved my LMSW, actually have ethical board members that are not stuck in the stone ages & they never published my application online. I have contacted their website administrator & board member , Donna Dalton, explaining how this has impacted my career. And even though this has no public benefit she has refused to remove it. It is unethical to encourage someone to apply, take their money & then publish their name without their consent.

You would need to check with those states.
Each and every state have their own laws and rules so an individual would need to check with each state where services are being provided.
To meet the requirements for social work licensure, you must graduate from a CSWE accredited program. If the program is still in candidacy status, it is not considered accredited. It is the Board's understanding that once a program achieves full accreditation, it is effective retroactively, so if your degree confer date is after the CSWE accreditation effective date, it would be deemed to meet that requirement.
The Board's rules or statutes do not specify one or the other, so you should consult with your tax person and/or your liability insurance provider to see if they have a recommendation or requirement.
Hello Genetta, Yes, the Board is located just north of the Arizona State Capitol building at 1740 West Adams St. We are between 17th and 18th avenues.
Hello Mr. Cornelius, For renewal of licensure, you would need 30 clock hours of continuing education including: 3 clock hours of behavioral health ethics or mental health law, 3 clock hours of cultural competency and diversity, and the 3 clock hour Arizona Statutes/Regulations tutorial.
Ms. Morrison, To reinstate your license, you would need to reapply. You can find the application process on the Applying for Licensure tab on the Board's website, https://azbbhe.us/node/827.
Ms. Peters, The requirements for Clinical Supervision for MFT Licensure can be found in A.A.C. R4-6-604. Please review the rule carefully as there are limits to how many supervision hours can be provided by professionals other than Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists.
Rita, The Board's rules or laws do not have a limit on inconsecutive licensure periods on inactive status. There is however a limit on consecutive licensure periods on inactive status which can be found in A.A.C. R4-6-305.
There are no restrictions for counseling, marriage and family, social work or addictions therapists to review credit for online training. I work with the board and have used online CEUs several times.
If the course/conference meets the Board's rules in Article 8, it would be accepted.
Lisa Marie, Arizona does not require that a clinical supervisor for MFT licensure hold an AAMFT accreditation. There are other ways that out of state supervisors/supervision can be considered. Please review A.A.C. R4-6-212.01(2) in the Board's current rules for additional information. You can find the current rules on the Rules and Laws tab on the Board's website www.azbbhe.us.
Ms. Packwood, Depending on the length of time you have held your credentials in Washington, you will likely qualify for a license by endorsement in Arizona. You can find all the requirements by clicking on the Rules and Laws tab on the Board's website at www.azbbhe.us. There is some helpful information for Out of State Applicants and a Fee Schedule on the Quick Links menu of the website as well.
You would need to submit an application for Licensed Associate Counselor found on the Board's website at https://www.azbbhe.us/node/556
