I have mixed feelings about Insight Global based on two different experiences I had while employed with the agency. I had a contract job working at American Express under Insight as my first job out of college. It went very well. Both the Insight Global and American Express staff were kind, courteous, and professional. I was initially on a six month term, and my contract was extended twice for a total of ten months. I learned a lot and I gained worthwhile experience. The second time I had a contract with Insight Global was in 2021 when I took a short term job to make it by. I had lost my main job due to the position being terminated. I was hired at Progress Residential for a role that was similar to what I worked at American Express. I was given specific instructions to meet with the supervisor on August 5, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. I arrived on time, and the supervisor did not show. I asked people in the office where she was, and nobody was able to answer. I attempted to reach out to this person multiple times, citing that Insight Global instructed me to meet with her, and I got nothing. I attempted to reach out to this woman to ask for a disability accommodation under the Americans With Disabilities Act. Again, she did not respond to me in any way. The next day, I was fired by Progress Residential. I appealed to HR and noted my rights under the Americans With Disabilities act and the Equal Opportunity Employment Laws of Arizona, and I had every intention to sue. Being terminated for requesting a disability accommodation is a huge crime on behalf of any employer. Insight Global ran an ADA inquiry that September. I presented documentation from my doctor of my disability to support my case. Upon being subpoenaed for a reason as to why I was let go, the supervisor lied about me. She said that my contract with Progress Residential was ended due to "unprofessional behavior," with an example being that I texted her on her cell phone without permission. I appealed this reasoning to Insight Global with the fact that I was sent an email that told me to contact this woman via her phone. I got nothing. I wish I were able to afford my own attorney at the time. A crime was committed against me and Progress Residential got away with it. I thought very highly of Insight Global until this second experience. I still think the company employs great people, and that their staff are professional and kind. However, I hesitate to take another job with Insight Global after I was allowed to be treated so poorly. I had to struggle financially for a considerable amount of time until I found employment elsewhere.
