For what we paid, I expected better. Overall, the rooms were clean, I appreciated breakfast, and the easy walk to The Stockyards was perfect. I also enjoyed the pool and the smell of the provided body wash. If it was cheaper, I'd stay again. But at this price point, the following was not satisfactory... The fresh sheets in two of our rooms were damp/wet upon arrival. The bathroom faucet knob falls off. The bathroom door is a barn door (doesn't seal in smells or steam) and the door handle slams into the wall because there's no stop. The room smells kind of musty if the air isn't on.

This is a new property right in the historic stockyards. It’s got a great “vibe”. And didn’t feel mike a typical hotel chain. The rooms are spacious and clean. Lots of meeting and banquet space for and they use Tim Love’s catering. There is a full bar on the first floor (pic below) but the real treat is the rooftop bar, Atico, a Tim Love concept with Spanish tapas, good wine list and reasonably priced. We tried a few meats, other small plates and flatbread and not a bad bite! Service at hotel and Atico has been great too!!’BTW, a decent gym and full breakfast.

I would encourage anyone staying here to check your credit card statements after you leave. I stayed here on a business trip with my company the end of January. Two employees' credit cards were compromised with fraudulent charges made (Uber fees). On the company credit cards, we were under the impression the incidental fees would be reimbursed after our stay, but the fees charged were for parking. The company I work for is in the process of double checking our statements to confirm we were not charged twice for parking. When we reached out to the hotel, we got little response. Took several attempts for someone to reply to our inquiries and concerns.

Marriott is my go-to hotel chain, and I have stayed at enough Marriott hotels to earn Titanium status. I've had excellent experiences at multiple Marriotts in Downtown Fort Worth, but unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. On a big picture, from a design standpoint, the suites are very awkward. The bathrooms are bigger than they need to be, and the bed area is very narrow. It feels like the bed is in a hallway, off-center, looking directly at the bathroom door. The rooms have very small windows, don't get much light, and the decor/coloring is a bit drab. It's also worth noting that there's significant outdoor noise, which may be why the windows are so small in the rooms. There are freight trains throughout the night, and people revving their muscle cars & trucks. The customer service was also lacking. After paying to park, we walked past a group of employees (probably valet assistants) laughing/cussing, walked up to the front counter, were asked to switch to a different counter, and were talked to as if it were an interview instead of being welcomed to the hotel. It left such a bad taste in my mouth my wife and I almost left the hotel. To top it off, I was charged for multiple market items I did not buy. Wow.
