This nursery is well organized and appears to have beautiful plants. However, I never made it inside. I called ahead on Saturday, August 20th, and asked if they sold Bermuda sod. The woman said yes, so I drove 30 minutes to be told by a man they never sell Bermuda sod there. He continued to smugly advise me that the King Ranch is the ONLY place in Texas that grows and sells Bermuda sod, hahaha. Btw, that is false. Many places in texas grow and sell Bermuda sod. He provided us with some odd directions,” exit the nursery and take a right, then turn left at the Evil Empire, and then we will see the King Ranch Turf on the right.” Since I know Darth Vador and the Galactic Empire are not located in Benbrook, confused, I thanked him and googled the directions. I will never return to this nursery, which is a shame because I would love to see what type of flowers they have, and I need closure as to what the “Evil Empire” in Benbrook is.
