Its just the way it is. But you can get your money back in restitution as long as they catch the person who stole it and you stay on top of the arrest and request all money be paid back. You also can file it on your insurance.

The truck will accumulate storage fee. $20 a day plus tax. The truck was charged $139 for the tow, $20 for the impound, and $50.00 for the notification letter that is sent out. If you do not pick it up i. 30 days the truck will be auctioned off. The owner of the vehicle will not be responsible to pay any money unless they are going to get it out of the pound.

They may be able to look it up by name and day of tow. It all depends on reason.

If its parking tickets you should pay them first. But to be honest that question will have to be asked in person. The clerk needs to verify the reason your vehicle was impounded in the first place.

You can't because you are parked on city property. The vehicle has to be operatabl and move from setting in the same spot even if it's just a few inches. That let's the officer no the car is not inoperable and abandon

There is a storage fee for all the vehicles in the auto pound, you are not the only one who has to pay these fees. A portion of the fee goes to hold wrecker service for recovering vehicles, especially those stolen like yours. It's not ideal, but it covers maintenance costs.

If you have a private lot you need too first post signs and get you a tow company that can two for you. The Auto Pound Does Not own there own wreckers. Depending on where you stay contact a wrecker service in your area and enquire about the process.

Thats not true. The Dallas City Auto Pound doesnt care about your warrant trust me. I had the same fear. I had to go get my car with a felony warrant. I did not get arrested but i was for sure nervous. This is something i know from experience.
