I called and paid in full a balance that was owed and I was emailed a receipt within 30 minutes. I am in the process of applying for a home so she was very polite and took my information to process payment. Hopefully it will reflect on my score soon so I can find another property. So I know we all hate debt collectors but these people were actually nice and when I had to change my payment schedule they didn’t give me a hard time. Trust me as someone who’s been paying down debt they are by far the most pleasant I’ve encountered.

DO NOT SETTLE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY LIE. THEY WILL NOT SETTLE AS THEY SAY. THE WILL STAY ON YOU CREDIT AS A COLLECTION. I AM PROOF THEY ARE LIARS. This company call All Hours day and night knowing I didn't have money as I am told them repeatedly I have no job. Once I finally got a job I called them to settle. They completely lied to me about how we would settle. I paid them are requested settlement amount and then left the collection on my report. I called them repeatedly and ask nicely if they would take it off and they refused. I will be escalating this to the next level of authority.

I recieved a letter in the mail from this "company" in regards to an unpaid water bill. I do not have an unpaid water bill. I don't owe this place a dime!

If you pay the debt within the validation period (typically around first 30 days after it's been assigned to us), the debt is not reported. However, once the debt is reported, and then paid, we report the debt as paid. Now, of course, there are always exceptions.
