It was as advertised, a good place to stay downtown, Old City, near the Mint, Liberty Bell, etc. Was worried because the Benjamin Franklin bridge is right there - but most of the city noise was filtered out through soundproofing. Fire truck sirens could be heard, but that's part of being in the city. The one quirky thing, with such high ceilings, the overhead lights in the bedrooms were useless, but there were plenty of other lights (plus window shades to draw up during the day.) Would stay there again.

This was my first stay at Sonder and after reading the reviews I went in with an open mind. The Mint is located on the edge of the city and is next to the bridge to New Jersey. The location isn’t terrible and you are in a 2 mile radius to most touristy things. Now the location is a tad sketch if you are woman staying alone but if I were staying with someone, I’d feel ok. There are a couple bars and places to eat in walking distance. The property itself is nice in the lobby area and late night they have on-site security. I stayed in a studio apartment with a balcony and the apartment definitely has seen its fair share of traffic. There are small details that make it look worn down. Weird stains, cracked tiles, chipped furniture, etc.. The space is utilized properly (think IKEA) with a ton of storage for long stays. The bed can also be folded up which I did not attempt. It’s cleaned fairly well except for the tub/shower which had mold growing under the caulking. Water pressure is not great and the water heater tank is tiny so if two people need to shower back to back, plan for a cold shower for the second person. The Wi-Fi strength is excellent and there’s a small desk to work on. There is no lamp on the desk so it’s dark at night and the chair sits a lot lower so it’s awkward. A weird thing about the TV is that it does not have an antenna so you do not have access to local channels at all. I like to listen to the local news in the morning which I couldn’t unfortunately. The apartment does have a washer dryer and they provide a couple of tide pods which is super nice. I had been traveling previously so I could wash a load which was fantastic. The apartment has a decent little kitchen with most cookware, silverware, dishware, and salt/pepper. There’s no oil so keep that in mind if you plan on cooking. I love that in addition to a coffee maker, they also provide an electric kettle. Coffee and tea is also provided. Due to the high ceilings, it takes awhile to cool/warm up. Because I was on a higher floor, the apartment got really hot during the day. There’s a pretty spacious balcony. Unfortunately since the building is on the edge of the city, the views are really obstructed. And it’s pretty noisy between traffic and trains. I only stayed a couple of night but I enjoyed my stay for the most part. I think I would prefer to be closer to the city so I’ll pick a different location next time.

Read the reviews before deciding on this stay and the most talked about issue was the noise... well let me just say it was minimal and not as crazy as described. My room overlooked the train tracks and an over pass so if there was going to be an issue, trust me it can't get worse than staying next to the train tracks. But i must say it was not a bother at all. The room was clean and very modern. The washer and dryer were definitely a plus for us. Check in and check out was seamless and the staff on site were friendly. The bed was comfortable enough and they had extra sheets, duvet, towels in the room so you didn't need to go fetch for it. My girlfriend prefers to cook so it was a plus that the kitchen was spacious enough with the utensils needed. This location is close to everything ( bars, attractions, city hall etc). You can walk to many places around there or take a ~ 5minute Uber ride. Note: if you're taking Uber (specifically) make sure to enter 3rd and Race Street instead of the location address. Thank me later I'll definitely recommend and will be staying here again. P.S - One thing we wish this location had was a rooftop and lounge area.

Everything was exactly as advertised. The building code didn’t work job arrival, but a quick text message and response solved the issue. We utilized the storage lockers at the end of our stay which saved us time and money. The room was fantastic (roomy and well furnished). Overall great experience.

NO bugs! This is a super clean place. I actually was toward the rear of the building in unit 507 and I found the sound of the cars and the trains to be actually comforting. Kind of fun to watch the lights at night.
No parking at the building. But when we stayed there a couple months ago we just parked on the street and paid the meter...easy through the parkmobile app. The meter was cheaper than paying for the garage parking that is right across the street from the sonder building. No problem finding street parking spots
