Lovely little spot near the creek to spend the day. No facilities, pack out what you pack in. Fairly clean. There are no camping signs posted, so I don't know why this is called a campground. There is camping further down the forest road, but we didn't cross the water to get there.

Great place to camp! Close to Phoenix and real easy to get too. Close to the town of Payson but you still feel like you are out deep in the woods. The sites are very clean and there are plenty of fire rings. The area is small so don’t go in large groups of vehicles. Parking is limited. There are no amenities and you better bring your own firewood.
