This is a great trail, the full loop is nearly 5 miles and well balanced, with high and low routes.

Ran into a cactus, views were good. One of the trails we wanted to go to was closed. Should give a heads up online for travelers.

About a five mile hike on a good trail with gradual inclines. Open to horses, bikes and hikers. Good rest facilities at the base. Great views from above. Intersects other trails, so it is easy to make a day of hiking.

Beautiful area. Leave it to the county to ruin it. Come here if you're going to go horseback riding but DO NOT come here to go hiking! Corrupt county charges $7 to come to MANURE PACKED, URINE SOAKED trails they're using for daily BUSINESS running lines of paying horseback riders over and over! It's disgusting breathing in so much amonia in knee deep manure and urine, let alone, no where near healthy! Meanwhile they spend a great deal of effort disrupting the natural eco system, literally caging in natural caves the trail is named after (you're welcome cave dwelling animals). I suppose someone has to look after the area and that's why they have to charge Movie Theater prices supposedly but this team doesn't do anything except sit back and count the money they're earning from their horseback riding, manure churning business. The corrupt city should be ashamed of themselves. The public, and the planet deserve better! Be more efficient with your money spending and have your workers walk the trails instead of sitting there collecting money. Then they'll see the filthy condition the trails are in and how they're actually the ones doing nature and their fellow man harm.
