U-46 will hire basically anyone off the street. We were stuck with the same driver as last year, and she’s just terrible. She either shows up WAY before kids are to be picked up, literally leaving children that she can clearly see at the stop. The next day, she will be 20 minutes late, causing parents to not be able to get to work, older children to not be able to make their bus because of how late their siblings’ bus is. The drivers are rude, fight with parents and act like they’ve never done a single thing wrong while doing their job. I understand that the bus can arrive a few minutes before or after the listed pick up time, but forcing more than 75% of the families at a bus stop to have to run to the bus because she’s leaving before pick up time is completely unacceptable. I will give a huge thumbs up to the substitute drivers because they are kind, on time, make sure children aren’t just left on their own, and they seem to be happy with their jobs. It’s gotten bad enough that I’m beginning to question whether placing my child in the hands of U-46 transportation is a safe idea anymore.

The Bus Drivers here are of low quality. Some are high, but a majority don't really care about you, or your kid. They are almost always late on hot or cold days, but when the weather is juuust right, sometimes they come 5 minutes early and your kid misses the bus because they can't keep time properly! I remember waiting outside with my kid for 45 (yes that long) minutes, afterwards I just took them home and called them out. I don't even know if the bus ever came but that was astoundingly bad.
