Always great for the young kids

Visited with my dog, she loved it! Trails are nice and wide, mostly mulched, some paved. The only issue I had was my sense of direction, and went in circles a few times. An additional sign or two could help those that get a bit turned around. Most all of the walk is in the woods, I was hoping for more open spaces, but overall I enjoyed the experience.

Nice little local trail. We’ve seen deer, rabbit, hawk, opossum, fox, turtle and plenty of other wildlife. The pond is covered with algae right now.

By the Dutch Inn, take the turn were they're Construction trucks and it's on the other side of the street
We do not charge for our open hours where you can stop in and visit the nature center and walk the trails. We have some free programming and some programs that do charge a fee. We also charge if you want to rent the building. Check out our website at http://www.cityofelgin.org/253/Programs
Typically there's a small fee. Very affordable.
