Nice spot to hangout at along the Verde river. Is a really beautiful place to walk around and explore.

Beautiful location for cool of in hot summer days, only 1.5 hrs from Phoenix, just passing Payson about 10 minutes from Bashas

The place is breath taking but the certin group of campers ruin it for the surrounding camp goers. Kids that just poop on hiking trails and generators running til the late night hours with mariachi music and yes, the occasional fighting couples. Smdh

We happened upon the campground by accident, and couldn't have been happier. There are a large number of campsites, each with its own firepit, and there is a vault toilet available for use. The campsites range in size and some are further apart than others. There is no fee to camp. The best part is probably the rivers and streams that surround the site (giving Flowing Springs it's name). There is a large pool of water that you can jump into from a rock overhead, and easily walkable trails along the banks. Someone put up a makeshift swing on a tree that we found, which was a great place to hook up our dogs. Be aware that there are no tables or benches, so be prepared to bring your own, if needed.

I have been staying off and on since Sunday and there are quite a few spots that are beautiful right next to water other is a little bit of a hike completely worth it.
We were just here yesterday, not that we saw.
Not technically a campground anymore. No overnight camping. There are a few dispersed camping pullouts nearby, but probably nothing great for an RV. I would try either more towards strawberry/Pine or up on the Rim east of Payson.
Free, but only allowed area is before the big parking area. Essentially before you head down the hill all the way. Believe its restricted to 2 week periods.
No
Camp ground is open. There a 14 day limit. No camping past the river.
Not too long ago the campground at the bottom by the river has been converted to day use only. There are signs posted saying no camping within 200 feet of river and a sign saying no camping past this point. There are some pull offs onto forest land from the road where you can legally camp for up to 14 days on federal land (use Google maps to determine if the spot you are considering is federal, green on Google maps). Apparently there's a private development built not too far in on the same road (on private land of course) and the residents have made enough complaints that the forest service has made changes. Classic NIMBY bs happening here.
It is open, no pass required. Stage 1 fire restrictions so no open fires. I just got back from there Thursday.
The camp site is a free Campsite. First come first serve. Pack in your own tent and camping supplies and pack out.
Ive never heard of any limits, as long as there is room. My friends & I also had 4, with 1-2 people per tent.
There is no RV hook ups, there are areas where an RV/camper can park but the main camping area is tent only
I have no idea, but I can say that when I was there I seen many people fishing and they said they weren't catching anything.
yes its open all year. except during fire restrictions. which shoulnt be a problem at all in January. head to the ranger station in Payson for latest info. and they have great maps and books
Sign near the outhouse explains....you must have a permit to shoot
Open nightly camping. First come first served. No attendants. Just police or park rangers cruising through to check every now and then.
I have seen some there before. It all depends on the area you find
Yes u can fish. Ur supposed to have a license but I didn't and I got away with it. I used to camp here back in the day for free. But I think there is some kind of "self pay" camping fee kiosk type thingy that , if your a good little robot , u shall pay
Mostly through google maps would be the best. Also searching on Facebook has some photos. It's not like an established campground. More over a site to camp than an actual facility.
I didn't notice one. Probably the best place nearby is fossil creek. Some waterfalls and spots to swim
Yes
