James and Matt were awesome! I had taken my old Honda mower to another repair place and was told they figured I wouldn't want to spend $250 to fix it because it was 20 years old and it had an oil leak, basically add oil every time you use it. I felt like they wanted to try and sell me a new one. It wasn't in our daughter's budget to buy a brand new one so I googled lawnmower repair and I called Garland Saw and Lawnmower. They aren't trying to sell me a new one. They are actually taking a look at it unlike the other place I took it to. 😁 Update: 8/27 Just picked up the mower and it was only $168.95. They replaced the carburetor, new gasket to stop oil leaking, new blade and total general service. They are amazing and I will be bringing all my power equipment to them. Definitely will not be going back to the Plano company that I've used for the last 20 years. Thanks Garland Saw and Lawnmower.

I was very impressed with Chris's knowledge and helpfulness. I called to make an appointment because blue smoke spewed out when I started up my lawnmower. Chris quizzed me on recent activity, and then explained that blue smoke was usually caused by burning oil, either over-filled or spilled, so the first thing to try before making an appointment was to change the oil, paying attention to if there was any gas smell in the oil. He went on to describe the other thing I could check if I smelled gas, but I zoned out and figured I'd call back if I needed to. Changing the oil fixed the problem. Thank you Chris! I greatly appreciate and admire a company willing to help over the phone to save me money and will not hesitate to use Garland Saw and Lawnmower in the future.
