Can’t believe they discriminate on SNAP eligible food items. Literally family members are unable to buy certain produce items & Market Street is taxing the items. No labels stating that it’s a supplement. Supplemental items are ineligible but literally this was produce, a main ingredient needed for my sister to make a nutritious meal for her children. And the customer service she received by management at the checkout line was just outright horrendous. Literally, making her go through and unpack her grocery items to scan each item individually, until they can find what product was supposedly in eligible, all because of how their corporate office codes the items in their scanning machines. To make ELIGIBLE items per the state program… INELIGIBLE 😡

Well they’ve gone an done it again. Way to go making single moms who receive assistance feel inferior about making healthy choices for herself and kids. I wanted to purchase organic mushrooms and not only were they ineligible but they are charging tax on the items as well. THIS IS ILLEGAL to charge tax on produce items. Additionally back in 2021, I attempted to utilize their catering services for my daughter’s graduation and I was told those food items are ineligible for SNAP purchase. The only reason it was ineligible is bc their corporate office codes it to be. At competitors, cold food trays and such are eligible. H-E-B can’t get here soon enough!
