Service people came out to address a problem with a fireplace insert--not their usual business! They jumped in with common sense and a can-do spirit, found and repaired the problem quickly. I appreciated their energy, friendliness, and expertise, very much.

Questions & Answers

Should I upgrade to a smart thermostat?

Smart thermostats can help your household cut energy costs by allowing you to set a customizable program for your home climate. It allows you to access your home system even when you’re away in order to change the settings and save your system from working extra hard to maintain a temperature for an empty house.

how can I troubleshoot my system before calling for service?

If your furnace or AC isn’t working properly, first check to see that the unit has power and that the thermostat is operating as it should. You can also check to see if your filters are clogged or need to be replaced. If these simple fixes don’t resolve your issues, it’s time to call for repairs.

how often do I need to have maintenance done on my heating and cooling systems?

Routine maintenance can mean the difference between prolonging the life of your HVAC system and replacing it years earlier than planned. At a minimum, filters should be changed every 3 months (or less if you have pets or other allergens in your home), and a professional maintenance check should be done prior to the start of each season in order to ensure everything is in working order.
