The parking area was well designed for easy access to the main boulevard and the sidewalks were open and clean. I thought the entire area had friendly appeal.

I had driven by this Memorial a few times. Today I decided to go check it out. It is free the grounds around the building are beautiful. I didn't have any business at the Grant Sawyer building. Everyone I ran into was nice & friendly. I am EXTREMELY HAPPY I went the memorial is interesting & well done. Sorry my pictures aren't. You should stop by take in everything this memorial has to tell about service done for our freedoms. All my THANKS & RESPECT to the BRAVE men and women that have served and are serving to protect our country!!!

Prior to this date Us Veterans were authorized by security to have Veterans meeting here. We as Vets really thought we were welcome there until someone on top felt their little toes were being stepped on . The reason: they were overlooked when permission was granted by lower authority for our meeting inside a public 1st floor meeting room under grounds maintenance jurisdiction , NOT a legislative room on upper floors as I was told. I had to call her up to Reno as no one internally wanted to admit the truth. I spent two or three hours on the phone and got all kinds of excuses. Since that episode we are now now meeting at a local trailer park Clubhouse I need Saint Louis and everybody is nice there. God bless Jesus cares. Mm April 10 2019 .. Had a nice dedication for Veterans and vets Newspaper publisher Sue Phelps. Governor Sisolak spoke as well as sever others. Good to see Vet friends and or couse Arby's our 92 year old veteran Who servers on the USS Palau. He retired in 67. Hats off to you and all the other Vets present. VHVSG..Vets Helping Vets Support Group...March 7 2019. We had another Great Vet turn out today 50 + and a few of us met with some higher officials afterwards to be able to use their facilities on a permanent basis although the room is getting packed out nearly. Great time and camaraderie and in depth insight on Veteran benefits through the V.A. Thanks Jericho for your perseverance in keeping us inspired and together. We Veterans from all services Coast Guard meet there every Wednesday at 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Our veterans group is called Veterans Helping Veterans Support Group. VHVSG. We meet just inside thru the double doors to the left on ground floor Thank you . The front desk staff is fairly friendly. the sous-chef inside the cafeteria is very friendly and they order direct and she makes everything on the spot. The menus posted on the wall seating in the cafeteria is very spacious with some nice large comfortable sofa couches to the back. one member of the staff spoke up saying the building could probably use it makeup in the interior. I know this building is 20 years old but looks very nice from the outside. What surprised me is it have a small playground with exercise equipment married into the ground so you could get a nice little work out on break. Me memorial statues built and designed for the veterans is tearfully inspiring and represent a different facet of every war we've had for at least a hundred years back or more. Inscribed in Marblel behind the soldiers are words of wisdom from the world's great leaders and our presidents. This memorial sits right adjacent the Cashman Field off off Las Vegas Boulevard. Worth the trip just to see the memorial itself.
