Within 10 minutes you are immersed in the desert. Most of the trail is marked with river rock. The rest seemed to be washed away.

For the people who have it one star it is actually an open park. Whilst the visitor center is not finished yet you can enter the park through a small entrance that is a little bit down the road. It was a really cool place, the only thing is that the around the entrance is pretty trashy. Once you actually get into the hiking portion though it's a really nice little park perfect for some exploring since it's not really busy

Website and Google say open 24 hours. The site is completely closed and is not open at all. Expected to be open next year. Wasted a drive out for a site that says “open 24 hours” on their website. Do not come — it’s closed.

Note: The facility and parking lot are not open yet. While that's true the grounds are open to the public from sunrise to sunset. There is a Pedestrian gate just north of the main gate about 500 feet near the substation. There is a nice marked trail behind the facility building marked by rocks. Looking forward to this Parks completion.

Do not go on the trail. You are walking on ancient archeology. The park is due to open next summer please be patient as we work to bring you this amazing piece of history.
