Dr. Ong performed my knee surgery and will be doing surgery on my shoulder in November. I have only the highest regards for Dr. Ong and his staff.
I think you should consider why they hesitate to do surgery on an obese patient, if you dont already know. There are a number of risks, especially if the doctors feel it is the excessive weight which is the major contributing cause of the knee injury. Why would you attempt to fix a problem if the cause of the problem isn't addressed first? Also consider the risk associated with using anesthesia on an obese patient.
