A very important package brought here was stolen. The item was dropped off, a tracking number given, and the package never moved out updated in the USPS systems beyond that. I've waited two weeks just to have an USPS automated system close the case without any follow-up or offer to contact me, research the theft/loss, or refund the cost. DO NOT bring your items here. Update: trying to call the actual locations phone number is also a dead end. The call is not picked up. The theft department contact service gives a phone number for claims that does not provide a person or system to complete the refund claim.

Just dropped off mail inside since thieves are opening mailboxes after hours!

2 stars - 1 star for employee #1 and 1 star for employee #2. Both agents displayed good customer service skills. The operation isn't efficient. Why in the world would USPS schedule 2 employees to work the counter on a Saturday? Employee #1 handled financial transactions and employee #2 intercepted packages from customers who were just "dropping off packages" while standing by the door advising customers walking up to the door that the branch was closed. Yes, I was standing in the line, mind you for 25 + minutes, when the branch closed waiting to be serviced by employee #1. I waited in the line for a couple of reasons. I was returning an item to a company that apparently only contracts with USPS and to pay for a $3.09 mailer. If I had an option I would have left and dropped the package off to UPS or Fed-ex where I know, because of experience, I would have been in and out! The good news is I paid the shipping in advance. The amount of time that it took to get through the line to pay employee #1 $3.09 for a mailer is ridiculous. Note to self - If I ever have to return a package and only given the option to use USPS, I'll pay for the shipping in advance AND pack up the return in a recycled box so that all I have to do is walk into the branch and hand the package to employee #2 then leave versus standing in a line for a ridiculous amount of time that should have been avoided. To USPS management, I'm not interested in hearing about budget cuts or staffing issues, I'm interested in the resolution!

You need to call Trotwood Post Office and report your carrier. File a complaint. We have subs all of the time on West Main Street and I get all of my mail. Don't online order anything for now or have packages sent a different address temporarily until you figure it out.
The Trotwood Post Office delivers mail on Saturdays and their office is open until noon.
