I have been seeing Kendra Chestnut (now Lykins) for a few years now. She was the first doctor to actually listen to me, and ran a bunch of tests to get me started down the path with specialists for proper diagnosis. She is attentive and thorough, and very real about the situation and information. I'm shocked by some of the other reviews here because she, quite literally, saved my life. My quality of life had declined so much, but she was willing to dig in to my invisible illnesses and figure what is going on... It was apparently a lot!

In the early 90's, I started seeing Dr Herzig at Internist of Fairfield for my health issues. I saw him for over 20 years until his retirement. He was a fantastic doctor who really cared about his patients. I had to choose another provider when Dr Herzig retired. I ultimately ended up with Dr Islam. I had a very demanding job that caused me to have to miss an appointment from time to time. After Internist of Fairfield changed their phone system which routed callers to Mercy's call center, the message did not get to my doctor when I had to cancel. This happened twice within a year's time. The third time, I actually forgot that I had an appointment. I had lost my job due to Covid-19, had just received some very bad news, & my depression had gotten the best of me. So, Dr Islam kicked me out of the practice. I had been seeing Dr Dadhania for my mental health issues along with Dr Jansen. I had never had a connection with both a Psychiatrist & a Psychologist that had aided my mental health as much as this team did. I was regularly seeing them both on top of having to do a check up every 3 months with Dr Islam. I lost all of that when I was removed from the practice. Now, I've been on a downward spiral... I was forced to find a new psychiatrist (which is very difficult to do these days) but just go there for meds check because I don't feel the new Dr is interested in my care. I'm constantly fighting off suicidal thoughts which is becoming more & more difficult every day. I feel the policy of kicking someone out just because they've missed appointments is discrimination. I mean, do normal people miss appointments? I never missed just because I wanted to aggravate my doctor. Nothing could be further from the truth. If someone misses an appointment, I can understand charging the patient a fee for the lost revenue. But to completely risk their lives by not allowing them access to their mental health providers is barbaric. I thought Doctors were supposed to "do no harm" per their oath. I'm suffering from this harm every single day and will until I breathe my last breath... because money is more important to Mercy than a human life.

Poor excuse for a dr, samar hijazi, shows no empathy and minimum amount of interest in the reason for a visit. Very rude and condescending. Avoid her at all costs....👎👎👎

I was 11 minutes late to my appt bc I had to drive in a downpour from work 30 minutes away. Because I was past 10 minutes late, I now have to wait another week. I have a debilitating ongoing issue that is causing severe risk of harm or death to me everyday. It also has an impact on my ability to drive, which may have also contributed to me being late in the first place. I dont even know if I'm going to survive another week. I had to wait a month to get this addressed due to insurance changing. This on top of it is just too much. U have been on the wait list for a medical machine for the issue for over 8 weeks. I just wanted to see someone to get help with managing the side effects and pain.
