I explained that i wanted to transfer my plates ($25 fee) and to purchase a duplicate ($6) They instead had me purchase a whole new set of license plates plus plate sticker ($29) plus the $25 transfer fee. That did not make sense. Not the most helpful group of people here. Luckily i was able to do everything else pretty easily.

I wanted to visit this site, but I see that they do not have instructors who speak Spanish, since others of us master one language more than another, they should have bilingual staff, I thank people for their comments, they help others not to have a bad time.

I debated writing anything on here as I feel this will become just another overlooked review . Today I came to this location to attempt my road test & obtain my drivers license. I’ve never been so disrespected & berated as I was today during my road test attempt. As a new driver nerves are the worst and attempting this driving test did not make them any better. Upon starting my test I was given a male road test instructor( name unknown) he is an older African American man I would say in his early 50’s-60’s, he wears glasses, and a baseball cap. Let’s call him James. I greeted james with a genuine good morning as I wanted our brief time together to be a positive experience . I received no response & negative energy. Not the best way to start a road test. So I own my mistakes & mishaps during my test. My nerves were bad due the energy James was giving off, my turns were also way to wide, & I could use more confidence & time behind the wheel (working on it). However the way this man spoke & disrespected me today was on a whole new level. If you enjoy being spoken to like dog who’s had a mishap and told your a danger to people on the road…I highly recommend. Upon finishing my test I waited for the instructor to give me my results (mind you i already knew I failed) I thanked him as he handed me my failed test results and he responded with “why are you thanking me” to which I told him I was just being polite and I explained he didn’t need to continue to be so rude & nasty to me. This escalated into him telling me how bad of a driver I was & then waking away mumbling whatever slur he was saying. My rose of the day would go to the sweet kind clerk who took my paperwork and told me where to go… My thorn would go to James miss James is truly something else. I’m not sure someone like that should be administering such a test.

Apply on their website under Careers.
As in Driver's license or State ID? Just make sure you have your birth certificate and mail with your name on it addressed to where you live such as a phone bill, electric bill, bank statement, etc. You can also call them to confirm what I stated above.

Get there at 4 am and wait in line in the dark until they open, then you can get an appointment for later in the day so you can wait some more. If you like this, keep voting democrat.

I know the DMV in South Holland and Elk Grove IL is still opened to exams and road testing. The cost is between $60-$70.
Not sure, I believe it will be closed until after Thanksgiving.
I don't believe you can e-mail the Secretary of State
In Joilet, they are! I'm not sure about other locations
Make sure you signed the title where it says Seller. Also remove plates, or else they could be getting tickets in your name.
